Welcome! You’re probably curious about me.
I haven’t always been a healer, but I’ve always intended to be. My life led me in many directions, from goat farming, to building houses, to working in a dynamite factory, to being a career environmentalist, doing renewable energy and climate change work.
Finally I was able to pursue the lifelong questions about why we are here and how can I help. What led me here? I experienced a near-death experience at a young age, which gave me access to the deep wisdom of the spirit world and a curiosity about the big issues of life and death, especially when it comes to health. But like most of us, I didn’t develop this aspect of my life until I entered my own healing journey during the past decade. During this period, I have transformed these challenging life experiences into blessings, what I call, “the gift of trauma.” I am passionate about the modalities that have helped me transform my life the most and I’m delighted to pass on what I’ve learned to others.
Early in my journey, I studied Hakomi – a body centered therapy, attachment theory, and Re-Creation of Self. These studies have given me tools to track both the physical and energetic body, and maintain embodied, empathic, loving connection with people. I also developed a passion for the works of Byron Katie, trauma therapy, yoga, neurobiology, and mindful relationships, which I sustain and deepen through a weekly Biodanza practice.
Five years ago, I discovered the work of Family Constellations facilitated by Mark Wolynn, of the Inherited Family Trauma Institute. I went on to contribute my research skills to Wolynn’s book, It Didn’t Start With You. Family Constellations were responsible for a turning point in my life, when I could look at the events that happened to me and realize that they were not entirely my fault, but were the almost inevitable result of inherited trauma. I quit blaming myself for everything that had gone wrong in my life. Instead, I realized it was out of deep love for my ancestors, that I had carried and repeated their trauma. When this was revealed to me, I saw that I could honor their fate and fully enjoy the life that was given to me.
I am especially attuned to the connection between inherited trauma and a person’s serious and chronic health condition. This is partly due to my science background, my degree in Environmental Science, my experience in health care, and my personal experience with my own autoimmune condition.
Through all my studies, I have developed the sensitivity and skill to help people achieve more of their full potential. I now have the ability and I feel an obligation to bring the wisdom I perceived in my long-ago near-death experience to benefit my clients.
I am a mother of two and a grandmother of three. Currently living in San Rafael, I offer constellations to individuals and lead family constellation groups in the Bay Area.
